Roofing Felt
What is Roofing Felt ?
Roofing felt is type of carpet used construction for sealing. It is basically an asphalt mix, plastic or rubber combined with polyester or glass for reinforcement.
To protect the roofing felt from ultraviolet rays, strees and strains, its upper surface is covered with special mineral tiles of various colors, aluminum film, quartz sand and other materials according to the requirements of its construction and use.
A flame burner is used in the application of the roofing felt.
Roofing felt is placed on terraces and roofs in order to waterproof the top area as so rain water, moisture is not allowed to come into contact with the concrete to penetrate it.
It is one of the most reliable solutions in the field of waterproofing, as long as the application is done by specialists in the field of insulation.
Roofing felt or bituminous membranes are sealing sheets typically 3-5 mm in thickness and available in roll form.
